New Family Member

Introducing....

Jake

Jakob Toro Hopkins

He has requested to be called Jake.
We are welcoming him into our family and into the world. He took his own sweet time letting us know his name. He is after all a Triple Earth little being.
Sun in Taurus
Moon in Capricorn
Rising sign in Virgo
He is on his own time line.
We are all getting to know each other and falling deeper in love.

Happy Baby - Happy Mom - Wow I'm really a Dad

Hi everyone,

Little Baby Hopkins is wonderful and deliriously soft and precious. He is a perfect little boy with ten fingers and ten toes. At 20 and one half inches, "Habibi" Hopkins has dropped his fighting weight to 7 Pounds- 1 oz.

The only thing he is missing is a name. More on that soon. For now I am happy calling him Habibi which means dear precious loved one. Which he is.

Happy Birth Day

There is no doubt about it. There will be a new baby today!!! By today I mean any minute. I sorta don't believe that I'm righting this BLOG. Shannon is pushing right now.

Here's the run down.

10:45 pm Shannon and Abe are watching Battlestar Galactica.
11:35 pm Shannon says I think my water broke. But there are no contractions. We call our midwife Mary Jackson.
12:00 pm I fall asleep.
2:30 am I wake up and Shannon is in the fetal position with mild contractions.
3:30 am Strong Contractions every 2 minutes lasting for 50 -60 seconds.
We call Sarah D. and Mary J.
4:30 am The midwives arrive. Thank you Lord Jesus because my wife has turned into a primal animal in heavy labor.
5:00 am Shannon is at 3 cm
7:00 am Shannon is at 5+ cm I am praying for her. She is having a fast and very intense labor. Turns out she's not a moaner or a screamer but a primal grunter.
8:15 am Shannon hits 10 cm. She starts pushing and it's way way way easier on her. (Well she might have something different to say.
